Every now and then I love pulling back the curtain on my own business, and this is one of those posts. I want to share what I’m focusing on right now to grow my business to multiple six figures in 2027, including what worked this year, what didn’t work the way I hoped, and the decisions I’ve made because of it.
If you’re a yoga teacher building an online business, I think you’ll recognise a lot of this, because the questions I’ve been asking myself are probably the same ones you’re asking about your own business.
#1 I’m Going All In on Skool
The biggest change I’ve made this year happened in May, when I relaunched the Blissful Biz Hive on Skool, built around the Honey Flow Method. Since then, growing the Blissful Biz Hive has been my main focus, and we’re now approaching 100 members, which I’m really proud of.
I love it so much. I love having a place where people come together, work through the trainings, ask questions, share what they’re creating and support each other. I’ve been running online courses since 2016, and a community feels really different. With a course, someone buys it, maybe works through the lessons, and often you never hear from them again. With a community you actually get to know people, so you see what they’re working on and where they’re getting stuck, and you’re there when they finally launch the thing they’ve been thinking about for months.
I’m totally convinced that this is the direction I want to go, and Skool makes it possible.
#2 I’m Rethinking My Offers and How I Generate Recurring Revenue
As much as I love the Blissful Biz Hive, growing it has also taught me something important. Almost 100 members doesn’t mean I’m suddenly making $10,000 a month in recurring revenue, and it’s not even close to that. Right now the Blissful Biz Hive brings in around $2,000 a month. That’s a wonderful foundation, but it’s obviously not enough to support the business and the lifestyle I want to have.
To make $10,000 a month from a membership priced at $27, you’d need around 370 paying members, and with the size of my audience, getting there is going to take time. So while I’m completely committed to growing the Blissful Biz Hive, I’ve realised I don’t want to put all the pressure on one low-priced membership.
Interestingly, this brings me back to something I already know works, which is premium offers. Premium programs are how I built my business in the first place. I launched my first high-ticket program, the Blissful Biz Incubator, in October 2021, and over a little more than two years that one program generated more than $250,000 in revenue. I did that while travelling around Europe in my camper van for half the year, and eventually moving countries, so I know you don’t need an enormous audience or a complicated business to make good money online.
I also loved working with premium clients. When you work with a smaller group of people you can give them so much more personal attention, because you get to know their businesses, give them specific feedback and really help them work through the challenges that come up.
But this year, though, I’ve started questioning how I want to sell a premium offer. I don’t want to rely on big launches a couple of times a year or lock people into 12-month payment plans anymore. I want to keep everything simple and in Skool, and give my premium students the same flexibility my membership students have.
#3 The Skool Profit Path
So I’ve been thinking a lot about how to combine what I love about premium programs with the flexibility of a membership, and that’s where the idea for the Blissful Biz Accelerator came from.
What if you could build a business where you don’t need hundreds and hundreds of members to make a good income? You’d have an accessible community that people love being part of, plus a premium membership for the people who want to go further, and both offers would generate recurring revenue.
That’s the business model I’m calling the Skool Profit Path. It starts with a paid community, then adds a premium membership, and eventually an evergreen growth engine that brings new people into the business.
For example, 100 members paying $27 a month plus 10 premium members paying $250 a month would bring in $5,200 in monthly recurring revenue. Of course that’s just an example, and you still need to create offers people want and find a way to attract the right members. But I think it’s a really interesting opportunity, especially for yoga teachers and wellness entrepreneurs, and it’s what I’ll be helping people build inside the Accelerator.
So instead of expecting one membership to serve everyone and generate all the revenue, I’m creating different ways for people to work with me depending on where they are in their business and how much support they want. That feels like a much better fit for where I want to take my business.
#4 I Want a Bigger Business, Not a More Complicated One
This last part is probably the most personal one. Yes, I want to grow Blissful Biz to multiple six figures in 2027, but I don’t want to build a business that takes over my entire life, and I definitely don’t want one that needs more and more technology, complicated funnels and all those marketing tricks that seem to have become so normal in the online business world.
I’ve always wanted my business to be simple. I want to work with people I enjoy working with and create things that genuinely help them, while having plenty of time for my life here in Mallorca. I’ve already built a six-figure business working around four hours a day, so I know it’s possible, and I don’t believe I suddenly need complicated systems to grow again.
So that’s what I’m focusing on. I’m building my business around Skool and growing recurring revenue. I feel really excited about this next version, and not just because of the revenue goals. The business model itself feels so much more like me, both in how I want to work and in how I want to help people.
