If you’ve been pouring your energy into creating one low-cost offer after another — $20 yoga classes, $47 workshops, $97 mini-courses — hoping that if enough people sign up, it will finally add up to a sustainable income, you’re not alone.
On paper, the math can look convincing. Sell 200 courses at $47 and you’ve made nearly $10,000, right? But in reality, it doesn’t usually work out that way. And the reason isn’t just the math.
The truth is, premium offers create bigger results — for you, and for the people you serve.
Let’s dive into why that is.
The Trap of Only Selling Low-Ticket Offers
When I first started my online business, I believed the path to success was creating more and more affordable offers. I thought lower prices would make it easier for people to say yes.
But what actually happened was that I was stuck on a hamster wheel — constantly creating new things, always in promotion mode, and still not making the kind of income that would allow me to feel safe and supported.
And even when people did buy, most of them didn’t experience the transformation they wanted. Not because they weren’t capable, and not because the content wasn’t good, but because the container was too small to carry them through the change they were hoping for.
The Energy Exchange
Here’s where the idea of energy exchange comes in.
When someone invests a small amount of money, they usually invest a small amount of energy. With a $27 or $47 product, it’s very easy to push it aside, forget about it, or never even open it.
I’ve seen this with my own lower-priced offers. I rarely hear back from those students, and when I do, it’s often something like, “I haven’t started yet,” or “life got in the way.” And I completely understand, because I’ve done the same myself.
But when someone invests $500, $1,000, or more, everything shifts. They’ve made a meaningful decision. They’re saying, “I’m ready. I want this transformation.” And because of that, they show up differently. They do the work. They let themselves be supported. And that’s when the real results happen.
Why Premium Offers Create Better Results
Premium offers aren’t just about higher prices. They’re about creating a container where meaningful change can actually happen.
When you’re holding a premium space, whether that’s a coaching package, private sessions, or a signature online program, you can provide more support, more depth, and more accountability. And your clients rise to meet that.
I’ve seen this again and again. The students who step into my premium programs are the ones who engage, follow through, and create the biggest transformations. Not because they’re “better” or more advanced, but because they’ve made a real commitment to themselves.
And for you as the entrepreneur, a premium offer creates sustainability. Instead of trying to sell hundreds of small offers, you can serve fewer people more deeply, which feels better and also creates steady income and more freedom in your business.
My Own Journey With Premium Offers
When I launched my very first online course, I priced it at $197, which was far too low for the value it offered. It took me years to feel ready to price an online program at $1,000.
But when I finally did, everything changed. My first $1,000 program led to my first $25k launch, and it was the turning point that allowed me to stop freelancing and fully step into my business.
It also gave me the courage to invest at a higher level myself — first $10k, then $20k in programs and masterminds that stretched me. And eventually, I sold my own high-ticket program, the Blissful Biz Incubator, at around $5k.
In 2022, I sold only that one program. I traveled half the year in my campervan, worked no more than 4 hours a day, and still had a six-figure year. That was the power of leaning into premium offers.
Low-Ticket Offers Still Have a Place
Does that mean you should never create low-ticket offers? Not at all.
I actually love a well-designed low-ticket product. They can be a beautiful way for people to try your work, build trust, and solve a specific problem.
That’s why I created offers like Low-Ticket Mojo, Your ChatGPT Business Coach, or Unlock Your Secret Sauce. Each of them delivers a clear solution, but they’re not designed to replace the bigger transformation of a premium offer.
Low-ticket offers can be the entry point. But your premium offer is the bridge to real change, it’s where the lasting transformation happens.
And remember, premium doesn’t mean only $10k masterminds. For many, even $500 or $1,000 is already a premium investment. What matters is that it feels like a meaningful commitment for your clients and that your offer delivers on the transformation you promise.
Final Thoughts
A premium offer isn’t about just charging more money. It’s about creating a space where your clients can experience real transformation, and where you can build a business that feels sustainable and supportive.
And in today’s economy, people are still spending, but they’re more careful about what they choose. Your job is to create something specific, meaningful, and aligned with the transformation they truly want.
Because here’s what I know: premium offers create bigger results — for you, and for the people you serve.
