I'm Susanne!

hey there

Creating long-form content consistently is one of the most supportive things you can do for your business. It helps you grow your audience, builds trust, improves your SEO, and gives you a steady rhythm in your marketing — especially when everything else in your business gets busy.

In this week’s video, I’m taking you behind the scenes and walking you through my exact workflow for creating, publishing, and repurposing long-form content every single week. I’m showing you the tools I use, how I draft scripts, how I edit my videos quickly, and how I turn one long piece of content into a blog post, newsletter, Pinterest pins, and social posts.

You’ll find the full video below, and in this post I’m breaking down the entire process step by step so you can adapt it for your own yoga business.

Why Long-Form Content Matters for Yoga Teachers

Long-form content has longevity in a way that short-form never will. A YouTube video or blog post you publish today can bring you traffic for years. That’s not an exaggeration — I still get visitors every single month from posts I wrote five or six years ago.

As a yoga teacher building an online business, this matters because:

  • Your audience can find you through search, not just social media.
  • You don’t need to post constantly to stay visible.
  • You build a body of work that reflects your expertise and your voice.
  • Your content becomes an asset that works for you long after you hit publish.

This is why I commit to creating long-form content every week. And with the right workflow, it feels doable and even enjoyable.

Step 1: Scripting the Video With ChatGPT

Most weeks, my process starts inside ChatGPT.

If I already shared something on Instagram that resonated — like my post about choosing between a membership or a signature program — I expand that topic into a longer, more thoughtful video. I give ChatGPT the original post, add some notes about what I want to cover, and let it create a first draft of the script.

Sometimes I use the script almost as-is. Sometimes I take the outline and simply talk freely, adding more stories or insights. It depends on the topic and what feels natural in the moment.

Step 2: Recording and Editing in Descript

Once the script is ready, I record the video in Descript (affiliate link). It’s the simplest workflow I’ve found because I can:

  • Record myself and my screen
  • Edit by cutting text in the transcript
  • Clean up mistakes in minutes

I don’t aim for perfection. My background is my living room, the light isn’t always ideal, and that’s fine. What matters is that the content is helpful and honest.

When I’m finished, I export both the video and the transcript. The transcript becomes incredibly helpful for all the repurposing that comes next.

Step 3: Uploading to YouTube and Writing the Show Notes

After exporting the video, I upload it to YouTube.

The show notes are created in ChatGPT as well. I paste my transcript or outline into the same chat, ask for a YouTube-optimized description, remove timestamps if they’re invented, and copy it right into YouTube.

For the thumbnail, I use Canva. I keep the design consistent — bold colors, personal photos, and my brand font — so people recognize my content immediately.

Step 4: Turning the Video Into a Blog Post

This step is essential, and it’s one I think many people skip because it feels like extra work. But with ChatGPT, it’s extremely simple and it’s one of the most effective pieces of the entire workflow.

I paste the transcript and ask for a blog post version: SEO-optimized, with subheadings, clear structure, and in my voice. I edit lightly, embed the video using a WordPress plugin, and add a featured image.

This is also the link I use for Pinterest. Instead of sending people directly to YouTube, I want them to discover my world on my website, where they can explore more content or sign up for something.

Step 5: Sending the Weekly Newsletter

My newsletter always includes a personal story or reflection, and I keep it close to my natural voice. I use ChatGPT for the first draft, but I adjust it until it feels like me.

Some people prefer watching the video. Others prefer reading the blog post. By sharing both, I make it easy for people to engage with the content in the way they like.

Then I schedule the newsletter for Tuesday in Kit (affiliate link), my email marketing tool.

Step 6: Creating Pinterest Pins

Pinterest is overlooked by so many yoga teachers, but it continues to bring steady traffic to my site. The workflow takes about ten to fifteen minutes a week.

I ask ChatGPT for five SEO-optimized pin titles and descriptions. I create five pins in Canva, upload them to Pinterest, paste in the title and description, and schedule them for the week.

Pinterest posts last for years. It is one of the most valuable long-term traffic sources I have.

Step 7: Repurposing for Instagram

Posting on Instagram is usually the final step. Some weeks it’s a reel, other weeks a carousel, depending on what makes sense for the topic.

For carousels, I prefer long text on the slides — almost like a mini-blog post. I ask ChatGPT for a draft, refine it until it sounds like me, and then create the graphics in Canva.

I keep the tone warm and grounded, and I focus on true value, not trends.

Why This Workflow Works So Well

This entire process usually takes two days:

Monday for creation: scripting, recording, writing

Tuesday for publishing, scheduling, and repurposing

It feels simple and manageable because everything flows from one core piece of long-form content. And over time, it builds an incredible library of videos, blog posts, and search-friendly content that works on your behalf.

If weekly feels like too much, start biweekly. But commit to consistency. The long-term growth is worth it, and your future self will thank you.
